{Let me preface by saying the above sweater is so old it could go to kindergarten. It also was only $40 from some random website. That is why this post happened. You need a few good sweaters that can stand the test of time. OR at it’s worst, at least make it through a season or two. You can recreate their excitement by what you pair them with, but you need the right piece to start with!}
What is that saying- anything worth having, doesn’t come easy? Most certainly that is the case more often than not when it comes to working towards our goals and dreams, getting through that Shake Shack line and assembling something from IKEA- but when you want to put together an effortless look; you not only want it to look easy you want it to come together in the same manner. For the Fall, I am trying to make it oh-so-easy for you to look fab in flash and with not much cash… you know I always wanted to be a rapper 😉 One of the signature pieces that can be the foundation or a major player of a bevy of your Fall looks is a great sweater. But where does one begin to find the style that can work in countless ways?! As your stylist I have scoured the wonderful, world wide web and found 10 light weight or as we “in the biz” like to call them- fine gauge knit, sweaters.
The following sweaters have a bit of a slouch to them, some can be manipulated to show a little shoulder and many have just the tiniest sexy twist that makes them just as cozy, cute as they are alluring. They can look great as the star of an ensemble or they can be layered under your favorite leather jacket or fur vest. OH YES, fur vest season is a comin! You best vest be ready. I chose mainly neutrals, and as you’ll see in tomorrows post- or you might have already seen on my instagram– funky accessories need a nice neutral top to balance them out. Now you’ll have one- or some after cruising through these options.
