One of my favorite parts of going on vacation is the “build up”. The daydream in your head of what you’ll see, the warmth of the sun, the scent of an exotic place and in my head, what I’ll be wearing while experiencing those things. Thus begins an endless amount of staking out stores, perusing through websites, making fantasy shopping carts and then comparing what currently exists in my wardrobe with what I can truly afford. After a thorough assessment I allowed myself to scoop up a new dress. I wanted a piece that I could wear summer after summer that could be casual or dressy depending on how I styled it. Enter the Catarina color blocked evening gown . You could say BCBG and I have really been hitting it off as of late, because as someone wise once said, when you’re hot, you’re hot so let’s just call this color combination and uber flattering silhouette en fuego. My affinity for this saturated pink and red blend can not be described, and insider tip you will be seeing a lot more of these two colors for Spring 2013, clearly the fun has just begun.
Style Credits: The dress, you already know. I can’t get enough of my Calvin Klein Vivian Sandals, and sweet anniversary surprise gift from my husband Salvatore Ferragamo mini crossbody bag from their Aruba boutique.
The restaurant we took these photos at, Flying Fishbone, was located on the other side of the island. The ambiance was extraordinary. With the waves crashing inches away, the sun setting around us and a table for eight right in the sand, no shoes was no problem.
Enjoy your weekend and check back Monday, I’ll be ditching the dresses and revealing all our adventurous fun in my vacation diary!

Tif, your dress looks beautifull on you….that restaurant, wow….who goes there and wants to eat inside because we don’t want to deal with the sand?? We did along with the Panichi’s…A friend of ours suggested we go there, we took a cab ride and thought oh boy what did we get into as far as where this place was located..(there was a time he had to break for chickens crossing the road)
from our hotel it was a 35 min ride…but it was really great…..love listening to the Aruba stories…enjoy your weekend
