FINALLY! Today is the day gentlemen, a pretty sick collaboration is in store {and online} at one of America’s favorite retailers. When I relentlessly read my GQ September Issue from cover to cover back in August I came across the highlight of the Look Sharp/Live Smart bible doing a little diddy with the GAP. Hmm… maybe “little diddy” is an understatement, I mean MAJOR menswear influencers such as BLK DNM, Mark McNairy {!!!} and Ovadia & Sons have designed exclusive pieces for this capsule collection at insanely affordable prices. For the fellas who appreciate attention to detail, a spin on a classic and want more style for less dinero I am hoping this information is the perfect pocket square in your blazer of happiness.
1. Ian Velardi Blanket Stripe Peacoat 2. Ian Velardi City Trousers 3. Ovadia & Sons Moto Jacket 4. BLK DNM Liberte T 5. Todd Snyder Military Belt 6. BLK DNM Slim Fit Denim in Ash wash 7. Saturdays NYC Oxford Shirt 8. Ovadia & Sons Shawl Cardigan 9. Todd Snyder Knit Beanie 10. Mark McNairy Tech Blazer 11. Mark McNairy Wool Cargo Trousers 12. Todd Snyder Cadet Parka
No lie this is one of the most impressive collaborations I have seen to date and this includes womenswear collabs. The focus is very much on wearable pieces but with great construction, hitting the trends with a seasoning of what makes each of these designers stand out. Above is the 12 pieces that you need. If I had to pick two it would be Mark McNairy’s Wool Cargo Trousers because they are the perfect weekend pant with a cool factor that can’t be denied, and Todd Snyder’s Cadet Parka. The Cadet Parka is a great piece with insane details and luxurious elements like a removable snap quilted vest with an inside pocket amongst being a great hue to brighten up your wardrobe.
If you are in need of a new piece of outerwear but don’t want the inflated price tag that comes with it, checking out GQ X GAP should rank somewhere on your weekend to-do list. So many well designed choices, this collection is the perfect place to find that crispy weather necessity amongst many other things.
