Fall Wedding Guest Style

This has been on of the first years in a long time we have not gone to half dozen weddings, at least! The year we got married and the year after we got married there were weekends in a row we were going to wedding after wedding! It was wild but also so fun. Fun to celebrate our friends and/or family members big day. Fun to eat, drink and dance. Fun for me to put a new look together.

On Friday of last week we attended George’s cousin’s wedding. They got an incredible September day and we danced the night away celebrating the awesome couple. Leading up to things I had been excited to figure out what I was wearing. Momma was getting a night out! But as I started to look through my closet I realized a lot of my dresses were black-tie formal/ long or fit me when I was a few pounds lighter… eek! I’ll get back to that shape soon 😉 So, I scooped up this number from one of my fave online sites that carries a TON of dress options Asos. They also ship incredibly fast for being in the UK, incase you aren’t familiar with them. I usually don’t go for black because it is everyone else’s go-to but I absolutely loved this dress design, and while it came in other colors the chic factor was all the way up in the black! I listed the other 3 color ways at the bottom of this post because they are quite beautiful too. And with the construction on this dress you can’t go wrong.

I gave this LBD my own flair with the accessories. THE SHOES, THE SHOES. I am a HUGE Schutz fan. I almost always love their designs and find them, for what they are – to be rather comfortable. I mean no one thinks a 4 inch heel is really comfy after 5 hours of dancing but I never went barefoot if that’s any indication of the fit! I found these for a fraction of the price on Saks Off 5th. Such a score for a shoe I will wear over and over and I love the quality.

I needed some whimsy up in this ensemble so I went for a playful bag. I wanted something feathery but the one I adored was $350… ahhh it’s a no from me dawg. Luckily in my searching this gorgeous little faux number was available through the mecca, Amazon. It was just the touch the look needed to be fun and fabulous! We of course had a really good time and it was nice to be out on a date with my studly gent.
