Knock Out Neon

Unless you live under a rock or have really dark lenses, you might not have seen or heard that neon is kind of a big deal as far as Spring and Summer style are concerned. If all your senses are in tact then you might, as some are with colorblocking {insert weepy sniffle}, kind of be over this trend as well. Before you don’t give that highlighter hued top a second chance, today’s post is all about putting a new spin on this oh-so popular style. Most level-headed “style experts” are telling you to pair your neons with neutrals, as a fan of balance, I fully support this. However, being level-headed can get old quick. If you dare to take a walk on the wild side, try mixing in a graphic print, or bringing in a   matching neon accessory… or, as you can see in my photos… BOTHAND, if you happen to bump into the Sweet ‘n Low truck, you better seize the opportunity and strike a sweet as saccharin pose, you know I did 😉

{Cateye Sunglasses Christian Dior via Bloomingdale’s, JCrew Tippi Sweater in Shocking Pink, Snakeskin Printed Denim by Flying Monkey via Tobi, Zara Basic Sandal, Florescent Laser Cut Clutch via Asos, Blue Small Square Bangle Alexis Bittar, Black Shiny Stud Bangle Forever 21, OPI Nail Polish in Red Lights Ahead… Where? absolutely love this color for summer!}

Sugar high?

Mama said knock you out… with a neon 1-2 punch.

Hopefully you haven’t grown tired of this bright trend just yet and you’re ready for another round. Check back tomorrow when I will be hitting you with my best shot{s} of ways to re-work your neons.

    Out of curiosity, do you recommend the Zara I Basic Sandal (as a comfort shoe)? I totally dig the shoe but I am a bit concerned about the comfort as well. I want to be able to walk in them. Like be able to go shopping in them. I am not expecting to do a marathon or anything. 🙂 I just caved in and bought the shoe last week and I am anticipating on the box at my doorstep when I get home today, but I thought I would ask your opinion. Thank you!
