My Style: Taking It Easy

Fall style the look for less Forever 21 Cozy Sweater Tiffany Pinero Style

I’m not going to say anything to jinx it, but the fact that we are actually having a Fall is so major. Wait, does that count as saying it?  When we fast forward right to winter, there are so many outfits that get lost in the shuffle or never see the light of day, tragic. Getting that cozy look {not to be confused with bundled} while actually feeling cozy is the best and it is what makes dressing for this season my favorite.

In true Piñero tradition we went apple picking two weekends ago. We go every year around this time to get some fresh fruit for pies, and reminisce about our engagement. In 2009 George proposed to me at this same orchard and it has always had a beyond special meaning. Of course I want to look nice for this little anniversary of sorts, but we are strolling through an orchard. You have to give me limits or I will show up in a gown. In an effort to not create a disturbance I wore some of my favorite new staples that I have been adding in since earlier in the season.

The booties: If you’ve been keeping up, you know all about the footwear already. They are true hotsteppers that work their way into an ensemble at least once a week. {Another way I styled them here}

The sweater: I love this piece! It is a cute design, nice, neat turtleneck, and the sleeves bring the drama that I just can’t resist! Oh and it’s under $30. PREACH!

The bottoms: I love me some denim but you need to have options that don’t look like classic denim. Otherwise, you end up looking and feeling like you are wearing the same thing ALL of the time. I always tell my clients that an olive green bottom is a great alternative to denim. NOT to be confused with Khaki- Jake from State Farm. Olive green is very neutral and instantly makes an outfit feel like a bit more effort was put in. These bottoms here I had my eye for a while and they were an investment. I have been wanting to work a pair into my wardrobe since last fall {ya know, practice what I preach} but hadn’t found the right pair. These are ridiculously comfortable, they feel legging-esq but look like denim and they are distressed which I love! They have just the right amount of rips to add an edge yet still look chic. I have included two lower price points in the details section in case you aren’t wanting to bite the big bullet just yet.
