What a time to give some style inspiration. Many of us in the tristate area are rolling into the end of our 3rd week in quarantine as we collectively try to stop the spread of COVID-19 and in turn hopefully flatten the curve. Now that is not a sentence I ever thought I’d write as a blog intro but here we are.
A word I hear over and over again that seems to be the only fitting description of all this is unprecedented. For many of us, we have never experienced anything like this in our lifetime. How do we act? How do we react? How do we stay calm? How do we stay positive? So many questions for this unknown but I applaud us all because every day we are showing up and doing the best we can with this “new reality’ as they say.
I don’t think I can bring myself to pitch you ideas on what to wear to a zoom call- yes, please laugh at that! I was sent an email from a PR company asking for my tips and I had to decline. Now is not the time for me to use this pandemic as a way to weasel myself into the conversation. Instead, I am just going to continue the same conversation I have been having for the many years I have been in this field. With a twist of course.
If we were going out and about we would be embracing the seasonal transition which is quite the dance. Hot and cold, rain and sun, what does one wear! Honestly, anything goes. I like to make outfits that pack some excitement by way of color- hello coat and shoes of this look- to remind us the heat is coming.
